Asher takes Malibu

Will Asher wins his 2nd consecutive Malibu Open slalom title to further solidify himself as #1 in the world.

Asher Takes Malibu

After putting up an intimidating score midway through 41' off in the preliminary rounds, Asher went on to defeat opponent after opponent in the head to head semi finals and finals.  This year on August 6th, Will was able to celebrate his birthday with another over-sized check to add to his collection.  Congratulations and Happy Birthday, Willy!

Jon Travers aka JT also left his mark at the Malibu open, getting himself into the finals by running 1/2 at 41' in the preliminary rounds.

Syndicate's Nick Adams and Marcus Brown also put up big scores, just falling short of the finals.  Adams ran 1/2 at 41', while Brown scored 5 at 39. If Adams had run his first round score in round 2, he would have secured his place in the finals alongside Willy and JT.

On the women's side, Syndicate had a solid finals showing, as three out of six of the finals bracket were Syndicate Ladies.  On her new Syndicate S1, Karina Nowlan led the pack by making it to the head to head finals and taking silver at Malibu with tremendous consistancy.
