HO’s Syndicate team took both the Men’s and Women’s title at the 52nd running of the Masters Water Ski Tournament. It was a picture perfect day at Robin Lake in Callaway Gardens and Will Asher, John Travers and Karina Nowlan were each competing in the finals of their respective divisions.
Karina was first off the dock in the Women’s final and after her run of 3@38 you could sense there was some disappointment as she skied with her head down back to the start dock. Karina has been skiing so well on her new A2 matching her personal best of 1@41 just a couple weeks ago. But, this is Sunday at the Masters, arguably the most prestigious water ski event each year, and 3@38 held up as the 3 remaining skiers fell just short. Karina Nowlan won her second Masters title and her first on a Syndicate ski.

Will Asher is our 4- time Masters Champion and he was just where he preferred to be on Sunday, top seed in the men’s final slalom event. Prior to Will’s run, Syndicate’s newest family member John Travers had the top score with 4.5@39 guaranteeing HO a spot on the podium. Will ran flawlessly through 35, 38 and the you could just sense he was going to run right through 39, but it wasn’t to be as he went down on 3 ball due to some rollers. Will finished with a respectable 3rd place.

HO Syndicate wants to congratulate their first time Masters Champion, John Travers! Since joining the Syndicate Program this past February John has taken his skiing to new levels. It wasn’t long after dialing his A2 that he ran a personal best 3@41 and then ran 4@41 to qualify for his first Masters Pro Men’s Slalom event. At the young age of 23, it’s safe to say that John has a long and bright future ahead of him.
