What I enjoy the most about the sport of water skiing is meeting different people from all over the world and being able to help people at all different levels. My wife and I have enjoyed Traveling to different ski sites and making new friends. I love helping people get on new skis to improve their skiing. I have enjoyed being part of the HO team and working with design and development since 2001. This has been instrumental in improving my skiing ability and my knowledge base to help others with fin tuning and binding placement.

Interview with Marcus Brown
MB: Not many years ago, Greg Badal was a little known name in the ski world. Now, you win national and international events. How long have you actually been competing? GB: I have competed since 1999 this was my first year.
MB: How did you get so good so fast? GB: I skied my whole life but not the course, I just had great form an ability. MB: In 2003 you organized the Diablo Shores ProAm. 6 years and 7 successful events later, you're still at it, hosting the “end of the year” event and doing a heck of a job. That's been a huge commitment. What drove you to put so much into 1 event? GB: 2003 Diablo Shores first Pro Am. This tournament was to bring the spectators back to water skiing and rejuvenate the sport. We wanted people from the past and present.
MB: What has been the best event of your career and why? GB: I think the best event was wining the Big Dawg finals in 06, it took 6 rounds of though skiing and it was an awesome year. MB: As a member of the Syndicate Team, you ski more than pretty much anyone else out there. More sets, more buoys...just plain more. How do you stay so resilient, and how much has the Syndicate line contributed to that longevity? GB: Syndicate team is an outstanding group of people. I owe all my great accomplishment to the team. I have been blessed to be part of such a group. MB: Who were you're hero's growing up? Who Inspired you? GB: My hero's were Bob & Kris LaPoint, Andy Mapple, MB: Where is water skiing in 5 years? GB: I think if we focus on this sport as a family sport and include everyone. We can build Water skiing back to what it once was and help our top athlete be paid for what they are. MB: If you were stuck on a deserted island with one person.....who would it be? GB: If I was stuck on a deserted Island I would want my Wife with me.
